Our Story

We have always had dogs as part of our life growing up.

Nisea and Christine immigrated from France to New Zealand, and that is when Paul was introduced to Scotties.

What was there not love about a fiercely interdependent dog who didn't take no for an answer when it was playing? Nisea ensured every large dog she met knew she wasn't to be trifled with.

Sadly Nisea passed away in Apr 2007 and due to a lack of available puppies we only got Inverness from Juscot in late 2008.

If you have never had a Scottie, you don't know the love and dedication these little dogs give to their masters. So that gap was a painful experience for us.

As Nessie aged, we desired to get a companion for her as our son was now going to school, so she was home alone.

After another delay, Skye was another bundle of joy from Juscot who kept Nessie on her toes, as well as being a good companion to both us and Nessie, until Nessie passed on with liver problems aged 11.

The call went out in hope that we could find a companion for Skye and after a few months we where lucky to get a call from Judy one weekend. Three hours later we had a four month old Isla join our clan.

With the passionate help of Judy, we have since had two litters, one with Skye and one with Isla, with the intent of sharing the love of these great little dogs with others. We remain in contact with most new owners and it is always a delight to get new photos of their adventures and just see how the puppies have grown.

Judy entrusted us with two lovely bitches of excellent pedigree and provided semen which, along with our imports, will allow for her beautiful and distinct blood line to be carried on, although under a different name.

Skin Deep Love

Whilst Christine has a deep love for Scotties, studies everything from their history to genetics and collect everything Scottie related, Paul went a step further; in early 2019 he decided to get a big tattoo of a Scottie on his back and spent countless hours researching what he wanted and a professional to do it. It took two sessions to complete the artwork but sadly, between the two, our Nessie passed. The love remained.
